Why are Click Energy customers moving to AGL?

AGL purchased Click Energy in October 2020. As a result of the sale, Click Energy customers will be joining the AGL brand. AGL already provide 3.95 million gas, electricity and telecommunications services across Australia and the Click Energy customers will get to enjoy the same benefits already shared by these customers.


What will happen to the Click Energy brand?

The Click Energy brand will no longer be in market. The team at Click Energy has enjoyed delivering great service and value to our 200k+ customers. We thank you for being part of our story.


I am a Click Energy Customer what does it mean for me?

You’ll receive correspondence from AGL soon relating to your energy service and details of when the transfer of your account will commence.

You’ll then receive an email from AGL letting you know when this is complete. The process will take approximately 4 weeks.


What benefits will I get at AGL?

AGL has been delivering almost 3.95 million gas, electricity and telecommunications services to residential, small and large business and wholesale customers across Australia

Besides great service, you’ll be able to track your energy account online or via the AGL mobile app, access AGL Rewards program and much more.


What is the transition process?

Transition of your account to AGL will be simple and seamless.

We're working to transfer all your account details automatically, including any concession or direct debit details 

The details of your energy plan will remain the same, at the moment the only difference we think you’ll see will be a change to the name of your plan.

Don’t worry, if this changes we will let you know.


AGL supplies Gas in my area but Click Energy does not. Will I be able to get an AGL gas plan?

Yes. You can simply sign up via https://www.agl.com.au/. You do not need to wait for your Click Energy account to transfer across.


Will I receive a final bill from Click Energy before my account moves to AGL?

No, the transition will be seamless. After the transition is complete, you will simply receive your next bill from AGL.


My account is in credit. What will happen to it when my account moves to AGL?

It will be automatically transferred into your new AGL account.


Will I lose power during the transition process?

No, the transition process does not affect your energy supply.


I just signed up to Click Energy. What happens to my account?

Don’t worry. When your switch is complete, you will automatically transfer to AGL. All the plan details that you signed up on will remain the same. You’ll just get additional benefits for being an AGL customer!


I need to move home during the transition period. What should I do?

Will I have to change my Click Energy plan?

For most customers nothing will change but if there are any impacts to your energy plans, we’ll let you know.


I receive a pay on time discount, will this still be available?

Your pay on time discount will not change, and it will appear on your current bill


What happens to my Solar Feed In Tariff?

Your plan details remain unchanged, including your Solar Feed In Tariff.


I’m on Direct Debit, do I need to update my details with AGL?

No, we are working hard to transfer your details automatically as part of the transition process. Don’t worry if this changes we will let you know.


Do I have to resubmit my concession details?

We’re working to transfer these details automatically. Don’t worry if anything changes, we will let you know.


I still have a pending enquiry/dispute with Click Energy. Who can I contact to resolve this?

Has my account been transferred to AGL? How will I know?

Once your account is transferred you will receive confirmation from AGL.


When can I start using the AGL mobile app?

When your account has been successfully transferred, you will receive information on how to access your account online and via the mobile app.
